Those were the words my mother would tell me as a child, whenever I would crouch or slouch my shoulders to appear smaller. Growing up, I often felt out of place, standing above the crowd. What I didn’t know at the time was that fitting in wasn’t truly what I wanted — I was trying to keep a power, a blessing, imprisoned.
Evroy is my middle name, created from the names of my mother, Evelyn, and my late father, Delroy. I chose it because I wanted a brand that represents both strength (from my father) and elegance (from my mother), the angel I always saw her as. That’s why the angel sits at the heart of our logo — symbolizing an angel breaking free from its entrapment.
